Adventure The-Front-Lines

The Front Lines is the second adventure to be found in the Adventure Command Post and it was released on September 15, 2016. On January 18, 2018, this adventure became available for all Jammers. The adventure can be played by Tigers, Wolves, Arctic Foxes and Arctic Wolves. This adventure continues the story from The Hidden Falls where the player must finish their training and then fight against the Phantoms, which have invaded the army's territory. In order to gain access to play this adventure, the player must first complete The Hidden Falls adventure. Now that it is available for non-members, some areas in all the adventures have changed.

Walkthrough[]

Sir Gilbert's Palace[]

  1. The player's first task is to find Sir Gilbert and talk to him.
    1. The player enters the adventure at the top of Sir Gilbert's Palace. In order to reach Sir Gilbert, the player should travel to the right and down the stairs until they reach the grassy cliff-side.
    2. Then the player should follow the grassy cliff downward until they reach a series of tents.
    3. At the tents, the player should turn left to reach the stone stairs that lead down into the "Command Cave" where Sir Gilbert is waiting.
  2. Sir Gilbert explains that the player must visit the camp and complete challenges to prove they are ready for battle.
  3. The player will be automatically taken to the next area after the conversation.

The Camp[]

  1. Once in the camp, the player is greeted by Sir Gilbert, who explains that the player must pass three trials to test their speed, reflexes, and bravery.
  2. The player must explore the camp to find the first trial.
    1. The player should travel right across the bridge to meet Sir Gilbert for the first trial.
    2. At the first trial, Sir Gilbert introduces a new adventure element for launching the player into the air, the Bounceshrooms. Sir Gilbert explains that the player should jump on these to help reach and unravel all of the banners quickly as a test of speed.
  3. The player must unravel all nine banners (not including the one that is already unraveled by Sir Gilbert) within approximately 45 seconds to complete this trial. The player should use the Bounceshrooms to complete this test faster.
    1. If the player fails the trial, they must travel back down and talk to Sir Gilbert once more to try again.
    2. If the player finishes in under 30 seconds, the Tiger Trooper at the top will reward them with a chest full of 250 Gems.
    3. If the player passes the trial but does not receive the chest reward, they can optionally go back down to restart the trial again.
  4. Next, the player must explore the camp to find the second trial.
    1. The player must continue right through the tent to meet Cosmo for the second trial.
    2. At the second trial, Cosmo introduces a new adventure element for defeating Phantoms and destroying obstacles, the Seed Spitters. Cosmo explains that the player must jump on these plants at the right time to launch Boomseeds towards the targets as a test of the player's reflexes.
  5. The player must destroy all six Phantom targets to complete this trial.
    1. After the trial is completed, Cosmo will notify the player of a plan to spread the Seed Spitters across the battlefield to assist the troops.
  6. The next stage requires the player to find the third trial.
    1. The player must continue right through the tent to meet Sir Gilbert again for the next test.
    2. At the third trial, Sir Gilbert explains that the Phantoms have invaded the camp. The player must defeat these Phantoms as a test of the player's bravery.
  7. The player must destroy all of the Phantoms and seal off the Phantom Tube.
    1. The player must hop on the nearby Seed Spitter to destroy the spawning Phantoms.
    2. The last Phantom will drop a cork, which must be used to seal the tube to continue.
  8. The player must once again find Sir Gilbert.
    1. Continuing right through the tent, the player must talk with Sir Gilbert.
    2. Sir Gilbert congratulates the player on completing the trials and tasks them with a new mission: travel across the battlefield to get through the Phantom's defenses.
  9. Next, the player must travel right through the invading Phantoms.
    1. The first obstacle is a Phantom Tube that is continuously spawning Phantoms. The player can simply run by this, or they can optionally plug this tube with a cork that is found in the trees above the tube.
    2. The next obstacle is a Phantom that is creating an electrified barrier around a sleeping Tiger Trooper. The player can simply run under this, or they can climb up into the trees above the Phantom to find a nearby Seed Spitter and target the Phantom.
      1. Once freed, the Tiger Trooper will reward a chest full of 150 Gems.
    3. The following obstacle is another Phantom Tube that will continuously re-spawn Phantoms when they are destroyed. The player can once again simply run by this, or they can plug the tube with a cork that is found up a nearby tree guarded by a Phantom.
      1. Once this Phantom Tube is destroyed, an underground tunnel will be accessible and lead to a Tigers-Only passage. The chest behind this passage will reward a Phantom Wall Decal.
  10. The final challenge for this area is to open the Phantom Hatch.
    1. Continuing right, the player will reach the hatch, which is missing its "valve".
    2. The player can find the valve by jumping over the hatch, launching up to the trees using the Bounceshroom (while avoiding the Phantom Watchers) and then continuing left to obtain the valve.
      1. Once at the valve, the player can optionally jump on the Seed Spitter to destroy a Phantom in the trees that has another Tiger Trooper trapped. The Tiger Trooper can then be reached by back-tracking to an earlier Bounceshroom and launching up into the trees. The Tiger Trooper will reward a chest full of 150 Gems.
  11. Finally, the player must jump into the hatch to travel to the next area.

The Cavern[]

  1. The player must explore the cavern.
    1. The player must travel right and down to a cliff of crumbling platforms, then drop down to the floor below.
    2. The player must then travel left and drop off the edge to the walkway of crumbling platforms below. Once on the platforms, the player should quickly travel right to reach a crystal-changing device.
      1. If the player happens to fall through the crumbling platforms, they can simply travel right and use the Bounceshrooms to launch back up.
    3. To continue to the next section of the cave, the player must change the crystal to red, then drop through the crumbling platforms and continue left, jumping on the red crystal platform to avoid the poisonous purple pond.
      1. Before continuing to the next section, the player can optionally change the crystal to blue, then travel left across the crumbling platforms until they reach the blue crystal barrier. Here, the player should drop down and then jump on the blue crystal platforms while continuing left. At the end of the platforms, the player should jump right and continue until they reach a hidden treasure chest that is filled with 125 Gems.
  2. The next stage requires the player to jump on Bounceshrooms to continue exploring.
    1. The player must continue left until they reach a Bounceshroom, then they should navigate up the vertical shaft by bouncing from one side to the other.
    2. At the top of the shaft, the player must continue left and then drop down the next shaft, avoiding the Bounceshrooms on the way down.
      1. The player can optionally navigate along the right side of the shaft to reach a treasure chest filled with 100 Gems.
    3. At the bottom of the second shaft, the player must travel right and use the Bounceshrooms to avoid the poisonous purple pond.
  3. Then the player must avoid a series of Phantom defenses and patrols while continuing the exploration of the cave.
    1. The player must continue right and then climb up a ladder while avoiding two Phantom Watchers.
    2. At the top of the ladder, the player must continue right through multiple Phantoms to reach a Bounceshroom.
    3. The player must then bounce up the short cliff, continue right, and then jump onto a rock platform that holds a Seed Spitter.
    4. At the Seed Spitter, the player should target the stalactites hanging from the cavern ceiling so that they drop into the poisonous purple pond to form a bridge.
    5. The player must then continue right across the poison pond to a Bounceshroom, launch right and up to a rock platform that holds a Seed Spitter, then jump right and up again to the next rock ledge.
      1. The player can optionally jump down to the other side of the poison pond to reach a treasure chest filled with 125 Gems.
    6. At the top of the ledge, the player must continue right until they reach a ladder.
  4. The player must finally search for the cavern's exit.
    1. The player must continue up the ladder to the Phantom Hatch while avoiding the Phantoms and Phantom Watchers.
      1. Around the middle of the ladder are two levers that can optionally be switched to deactivate the Phantom Watchers.

The Battlefield[]

  1. The player must make their way to the front lines.
    1. The player must continue traveling right until they meet Graham.
    2. Graham introduces a new adventure element for defeating the Phantoms, the Mechachomper. He further explains that these work like Chomper Plants but with unlimited uses.
    3. The player must continue right through the Mechachompers until they reach a Seed Spitter.
    4. The Seed Spitter must be used to target a boulder that is blocking the path.
    5. After the boulder is cleared, the player must continue right and then travel down through a hatch to reach a cave.
    6. Inside the cave, the player must travel right and then jump up to reach the ladder for the exit.
      1. Before exiting the cave, the player can optionally go to the center of the cave and drop down onto a Bounceshroom that will launch the player up to a hidden chest in the ceiling, which rewards 125 Gems.
      2. The player can optionally travel left (back passed the entrance) to a hole in the floor that will drop down to a secret cave section where the player should travel right and activate the red crystals to jump up to the next passageway. In this passage, the player should drop under the platform to activate the blue crystals and then travel all the way to the right end of the passage in order to drop down again and activate the purple crystals. Then the player can continue right, jump up the rock platforms (where the Seed Spitter is located) to the ladder, and travel left to the cave entrance. After jumping back out of the cave, the player should continue left to the previous Seed Spitter, jump up the purple crystal platform, and then travel right to reach a hidden chest that rewards a Palace Sconce.
        1. While in the hidden cave section, the player can optionally hop on the Seed Spitter to destroy the boulder and then open a treasure chest full of 125 Gems. Continuing right from this chest will lead to another hidden cave with a "Lost Earring" that, when clicked, will summon Greely to provide a cryptic message about Peck being missing.
        2. Also while in this hidden cave, the player can optionally hop on the Seed Spitter to destroy the Phantom on the top ledge. (If the purple crystal barrier is up, the player must first go back to the passageway and activate the red crystals instead.) Doing so will free the Tiger Trooper and reward the player with 150 Gems.
  2. Once outside the cave, the player must turn off the Phantom Watchers that block the path.
    1. The player should travel right and up the nearest tree until they reach a platform with a ladder on the left side.
      1. From here the player can optionally pick up a cork to plug one of the Phantom Tubes along the forest floor.
    2. Continuing up the ladder, the player will reach a ledge where the path is blocked by a Phantom's barrier.
    3. The player must then jump over to the Seed Spitter on the right and then target the Phantom to clear the path. Doing so will also free a Tiger Trooper that rewards the player with 150 Gems.
    4. Once cleared, the player can grab the Phantom Key, travel to the far bottom-right of the forest to unlock a door, and then switch a lever to turn off a set of Phantom Watchers.
    5. The player must then travel back left into the forest and up into the trees to reach a set of Bounceshrooms that will launch the player to the next Phantom Key.
    6. The next key can then be used to unlock the next door at the bottom right of the forest and switch off the final set of Phantom Watchers.
      1. Before continuing, the player can optionally climb to the top of the right-most tree to reach a hidden path that holds an Arctic Fox-only passage. The treasure chest behind this passage will reward the player with Sir Gilbert's Ottoman.
      2. The player can optionally find two more corks in the forest (one along the forest floor and one up in the trees) to plug the remaining Phantom Tubes.
  3. Once the second set of Phantom Watchers is turned off, the player must find Sir Gilbert.
    1. The player must jump up to the pathway above the doors and levers, then travel right and jump up a series of ledges to reach Sir Gilbert.
  4. What follows is a dialogue between Sir Gilbert, Cosmo, and Graham regarding the spread of the Phantoms and the future plans to find something special near the Phantom Fortress.
  5. After the dialogue sequence is finished, the player can choose from one of five different prizes.

Trivia[]

  • The Arctic Foxes-only passage was formerly a second Tigers-only passage prior to all adventures becoming non-member. For some time, Arctic Foxes were not able to play the adventure, and Sir Gilbert's Ottoman became temporarily unobtainable. This issue has been fixed, as Arctic Foxes can play this adventure now.
