The Head Feather is a non-member land clothing item.

Appearance

The Head Feather is a thick ring of leather that consists of a bent white feather sticking out of it. In all variants of this item, the feather has a colored tip, and the strip of leather has a zigzag line running all the way around it. This item comes in eight different varieties.

History

This item is uncommon. It has varieties that have not been available for more than four years and cannot be won as a possible prize.

The Head Feather was initially released in November 2010 in Jam Mart Clothing. It was most recently released in November 2011 in Jam Mart Clothing and left on an unknown date.

Notes
It was sold for 150 Gems in 2010, but its price was reduced for its second release in 2011. It is one of very few Jam Mart Clothing items that had its price lowered on a subsequent release. It was a possible prize in Sky High from 2012 through 2014, but it has not been found in recent years and is assumed to have been removed from the prize list. It was also a possible prize from certain Hard Mode Adventures such as the Return of the Phantoms, but it has not been found as a prize since 2014 and is assumed to have been removed from those prize lists. It was also reported as a possible prize in The Forgotten Desert during 2014, but it has not been found in recent years and is believed to have been removed from that adventure.

• The mobile app Play Wild has a nearly identical item with the same name.
• This was released alongside the Headdress, a related item that is for members only.
• It is often claimed to be discontinued since it was removed from prize lists, but AJHQ has not confirmed this.
• The Rare Head Feather is the Rare Item Monday counterpart to this item.
• All of the different colors of the Head Feather have black or gray tips except the brown-and-green variety, the pink-and-white variety, and the rare variant.
• On November 19, 2015, all colors of the Head Feather received a "rare" tag. This also occurred with Headdresses and the Founder's Hat.
• It was assumed that the Head Feather, along with the Headdress would be returning on Rare Item Monday after they were both updated with the "rare" tags, but they did not return to stores.
• The Head Feathers item is based on this, but it is for members only.
• The Custom Head Feather item is also based on this, having the same shape, but with different colors.
