The Raccoon is a members-only land animal.

Default Appearance[]

Raccoons have dark grey/purple fur and a black mask going around their eyes which is lined in white. Their ears are a light and pale pink, and lined with white as well. The raccoon has dark green eyes and a muzzle with a grey top and a white bottom with a small black nose. They have a bushy tail, with three light and three dark stripes, and are medium-sized in-game.

Acts	Description
	Sits on back legs and holds arms close to chest; tail is upright and curled slightly.
	Does an Irish jig-themed dance.
	Head on paws and eyes are closed with tail wrapped around them.
	Jumps a medium-height.
	Stands on hind legs and laughs, stomping its leg. Falls down before getting back up.

History[]

The Raccoon was initially released in March 2013 in "Choose an Animal" menu. It was most recently released on October 27, 2022, in "Choose an Animal" menu and left on December 30, 2022.

Trivia[]

The Raccoon was first announced around February 2013 in the Jamaa Journal, where Jammers had to solve a puzzle to guess what the new animal would be.
Raccoons have a pet variant.
The Raccoon Hat was released January 19, 2013 at Epic Wonders and the Raccoon Tail was released July 31, 2012 at the Summer Carnival. Those items could have been hinting at the future release of Raccoons.
There is a glitch when this animal plays the Sky High game with the half-open eye style; while falling in the game, the eyes will disappear.
The Raccoon has a multiple plushie counterparts including a regular plushie line, a giant raccoon plushie, and a rare giant raccoon plushie.
It is the first Gem animal to be featured in a Membership Bundle.
There is a rainbow variant, which is the Rainbow Raccoon.
